"The Thinker", a world famous statue in Copehagen, was created by the French artist, Rodin (1840-1917).


The Tivoli Gardens Amusement Park in Copenhagen, opened in 1843. It is both a garden and an amusement park that offers a combination of tranquillity and excitement to its visitors. It has many rides, games, a playground and some 20 restaurants serving a variety of wonderful cuisines. Tivoli is also a popular concert ground for both domestic and international performances. At night, the Tivoli Gardens is festively transformed by illuminating thousands of colored lights, creating a strong carnival like ambience.


Denmark, being surrounded by the North and Baltic seas, has been a shipbuilding and fishing country. Many prefer the old town and its surrounding canals.
